Our Mission

To grow Yeshua's ekklesia through prayer, learning, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry with one another and our neighbors, shaped by Torah and the whole of Scripture, informed by both Jewish and Christian traditions, and empowered by the love of G-d.

Our Vision

To embrace our place in the story of Israel, formed by G-d's word, and united in Messiah Yeshua.

Our Beliefs

G-d

We believe in one G-d, the G-d of Israel, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). He is the Creator and sustainer of all things, holy, righteous, merciful, gracious, faithful, and loving. We seek to know Him as He has made Himself known throughout Scripture and to love Him with all our heart, soul, and strength.

We believe the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) is the Spirit of G-d, present and active among His people. The Ruach was there at creation, spoke through the prophets, and was poured out upon the followers of Messiah as promised in Scripture.

The Ruach HaKodesh gives new life, teaches and guides us into truth, and empowers us to follow G-d. Through the Ruach, G-d equips His people with gifts for service and builds up the ekklesia.

We seek to walk by the Ruach HaKodesh, allowing His presence to shape our lives, our relationships, and our service to G-d and one another.

(The Holy Spirit)

Yeshua HaMashiach

(Jesus Christ)

The G-d of Israel revealed Himself in the flesh as Yeshua, the promised Messiah of Israel. His life and teachings, His death and resurrection, His ascension to Heaven, and His promised return are central to our faith.

Yeshua lived in perfect faithfulness to G-d and all of His commandments. He taught His disciples to love G-d, love their neighbors, and live in obedience. He was crucified, died, and was raised from the dead on the third day. He ascended to Heaven and reigns as L-rd, and we await His return and the fulfillment of G-d’s promises. His incarnation is the culmination of the story of Israel and the fulfillment of G-d’s purposes revealed throughout Scripture.

We seek to follow Yeshua as Messiah and L-rd, learning from His teachings and example as we live according to the whole of Scripture.

Biblical references: Genesis 49:10; Deuteronomy 18:15–19; 2 Samuel 7:12–16; Isaiah 9:6–7; Isaiah 11:1–5; Isaiah 42:1–9; Matthew 5:17–20; Luke 24:25–27; John 1:1–18; John 10:30; Acts 2:22–36; Acts 3:19–26; Acts 13:32–39; 1 Corinthians 15:3–8; Philippians 2:5–11; Hebrews 4:14–15; Revelation 19:11–16; Revelation 22:12–13.

Salvation

Salvation is made possible through Yeshua alone, via trusting in the atoning work of His death and resurrection. We cannot earn reconciliation with G-d through our own righteousness, works, or obedience to G-d's commandments. Rather, a life of obedience is the response expected of those who have received G-d’s grace and seek to walk faithfully with Him.  Through Yeshua, G-d offers a new life to those who turn to Him in repentance and place their faith in Messiah.

We believe salvation includes both the life we are given now and the secure hope of resurrection and eternal life.

Scripture

We believe the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures) and Brit Chadasha (New Testament) together form the Scriptures and provide the foundation for our faith and life. We understand them as one unified story of G-d’s purposes for Israel, Messiah, and the nations. All Scripture is G-d-breathed, inerrant, and useful for teaching, rebuke, correction, and training in righteousness.

We believe the coming of Messiah Yeshua did not nullify Torah (G-d’s instruction given through Moses). Yeshua Himself declared that He did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets, and the Brit Chadasha affirms the goodness and holiness of Torah. At the same time, the Brit Chadasha is essential to understanding Messiah Yeshua, the New Covenant, and the life of His followers. We therefore seek to live according to Torah and the whole of Scripture as we follow Messiah Yeshua, our teacher and L-rd.

Jews and Gentiles

In Messiah

We believe that Israel is G-d’s chosen people, called by Him to be His treasured possession and a light to the nations. G-d made covenant promises to Israel and sent Yeshua HaMashiach to His people, through whom the blessing promised to Abraham is extended to all the nations.

Through faith in Yeshua, Gentiles are brought near to G-d and become fellow heirs of the promises and citizens of Israel. They are brought into the covenant blessings G-d has given through Israel and Mashiach.

G-d has not rejected or replaced Israel. Rather, we see the inclusion of the nations as part of G-d’s covenant purposes from the beginning: that through Israel and her Messiah, His blessing would reach all people.

Olam HaBa

(The World to Come)

We believe our hope is in the resurrection of the dead, the return of Yeshua HaMashiach, and the World to Come (Olam HaBa). We look forward to the day when Mashiach will reign, and G-d’s promises to Israel and the nations will be fulfilled.

We believe G-d will restore and renew His creation, bringing an end to death, mourning, and suffering. G-d will dwell with His people, and all things will be made new.

Until that day, we live in hope, faithfully following G-d and proclaiming the good news of Messiah as we look forward to the restoration of all things.
